Untie the Lines is being published by Bloomsbury on 14 July. Once again there’ll be a paperback version and eBook versions. Pre-orders are being taken now here and here.
To celebrate I am having launch party at Arthur Beale chandler’s shop on Shaftesbury Avenue in central London. It’s a brilliant venue – the oldest sailing shop in London, probably in Europe and possibly in the world. Last time I popped in they were making up rope perches for parrots…
This launch party I am really excited to reveal that the drinks are being sponsored by Westerhall Rums of Grenada. As much of Untie the Lines is set in the Caribbean, I thought it would be fitting to bring a flavour of the islands to London – quite literally, in the form of rum punch (recipe below).
You can sign up to come along by emailing me before 6 July.
Westerhall’s rum punch recipe:
1 part fresh lime juice
2 parts nutmeg syrup
3 parts rum
4 parts soda water
1 dash grenadine
1 dash angostura bitters
sprinkle ground nutmeg on top
Serve with ice and a cherry on a stick
Yum!
